It’s another Heatwave!

So we have another heatwave and yes its proving to be the hottest. driest summer since records began. But at least its perfect for alfresco eatinmg and entertaining, so enjoy.
Ah bien, we lost, but at least we beat the Argies at Rugby (again!!)

England tried their best and played fairly, shame the same couldn’t be said for their opponents, but still the game went against us, with some questionable ref decisions, and some truly awful post match tactics by Argentina – Ah bien! Still Jamie and team won through in the Summer Nations Rugby despite an extremely hostile […]
And again, this time v. Norway!

Although it was a tough, and different match against Norway, at least there were none of the ‘Dark Arts’ that England have previously been faced with, even the Norwegian rowing didn’t seem to help and Harlaand, well he was a bit quite to! So a 2-1 score proved decisive and England are now through to […]
What a Match! England are through to Quarter Finals!

Despite the thunderstorms, Azteca stadium and extremely hostile home fans, some highly questionable refereeing decisions, including a Red card and playing with 10 men, England prevailed and beat Mexico 3-2, thanks to two superb Bellingham goals and a Harry Kane penalty. So it’s on now to Norway in Miami.
It’s Knockout time England v DR Congo

England will take on DR Congo tonight in what promises to be a pretty tough match. Certainly England will have to improve especially in defence, but with Harry Kane. Jude Bellingham and the rest we should be OK? Here’s keeping our fingers crossed!
After two, is UK set for another Heatwave?

The weather may have got a bit cooler but a third heatwave is scheduled for a few days time. Perfect alfresco eating & entertaining weather, and of course there’s the World Cup, Wimbledon, the Cricket and the Rugby Summer Internationals, how good is that!

After the recent heatwave at the end of May, and just in time for National BBQ Week, it all changed and we’ve had a soggy, sorry excuse for the start of the summer season, but it looks as if we could, possibly be in for another Heatwave from this weekend, who knows?
It was a HeatWave, now its a WashOut, but?

The Spring started of pretty wet, then it all changed for National BBQ Week and we had a Heatwave, then, guess what the Week finished and the rain started, and yes its going to be raining for pretty much the first week of Gastro Alfresco, not ideal outdoor eating weather, but don’t worry, the sun […]
How life alfresco has changed over the years!

Once upon a time the ‘de rigueur’ attire for a day in the sun was a knotted handkerchief, ‘rolled-up sleeves and a deckchair, not very chic! But it’s all changed now as we embrace life alfresco, whether for eating, enteraining or just chillin and try and emulate the Mediterranean lifestyle!
It’s been a damp Spring!

The weather’s been pretty unpredictable this Spring, with lots of rain and occasional bright sunny days. Not ideal for alfresco eating & entertaining, BUT we’re reliably informed that it’s all about to change with rumoured +25C temperatures by the end of the week and just in time for the start of National BBQ Week and […]
